3 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Kyle Hendricks picked up his fifth victory of the season Thursday versus the Pittsburgh Pirates. Hendricks went seven innings and allowed six hits, three runs, no walks and struck out five on the afternoon. Hendricks looked good in the contest and all of his runs allowed were from solo home runs. Hendricks got off to a slow start this season, but has picked things up in May with three runs or less allowed in four of his starts this month. Hendricks is now 5-4 and owns a 4.63 ERA. His next matchup will be versus a tough San Diego Padres offense on Tuesday.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
