4 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Kyle Hendricks bounced back in a big way on Tuesday in Game 1 of a doubleheader versus the Los Angeles Dodgers. Hendricks went all seven innings and cruised through the first six innings, but allowed a solo home run to catcher Keibert Ruiz in the top of the seventh inning. Hendricks was coming off of a terrible outing against the Braves his last time out, but he looked to be in vintage form on Tuesday. The veteran became the first Cubs starting pitcher to record an out in the seventh inning this season and finishes with a line of seven innings with seven hits, one run, one walk and six strikeouts.
