Kyle Hendricks Roughed Up In Sunday’s Start
4 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Kyle Hendricks got lit up versus the Atlanta Braves on Sunday. Hendricks allowed four home runs and six runs in the top of the first inning. Hendricks was returning from an illness that saw him scratched from Tuesday's start and would finish with a line of four innings with seven hits, seven runs, three walks and two strikeouts on the evening. Hendricks looked great in his second start of the season, but has really struggled in his other two starts. The veteran is historically as consistent as they come, but the results haven't been there yet this season. The Professor will carry an ugly 6.92 ERA into Saturday's start versus the Milwaukee Brewers. Hendricks rarely has back-to-back poor outings and has performed well versus the Brewers in his career.
