Kyle Hendricks Suffers Game 1 Loss
4 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Kyle Hendricks picked up the loss in Game 1 of the Cubs wild-card series against the Miami Marlins on Wednesday. Hendricks got out of some trouble between the fourth and sixth innings, but manager David Ross elected to bring him out for the seventh inning. Hendricks allowed back-to-back singles and then Corey Dickerson took him yard to give the Marlins a 3-1 lead at the time. Hendricks overall allowed five hits, three runs, three walks and struck out three Marlins in 6 1/3 innings. The Cubs will now need to win two straight and if they do, Hendricks would face the winner of the Reds and Braves series.
