3 years agoThe NASCAR Playoff Chase begins Sunday night with the Cook Out Southern 500 from Darlington. Naturally, metrics dictate Larson starting from the sixth spot which is not too bad. The Hendrick Motorsports Racing team has four drivers in the chase overall. Larson has nearly won this race in four of his last five starts. (40+ laps led four times). That was with the Chip Ganassi racing build to boot. It is a big reason why he was an odds-on favorite this week (+250 to +300 to win). With the 52 playoff points to start, the No. 5 car has a solid boost. A win or top-three finish is very possible this week given how well Larson races around the Darlington course. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
