3 years agoKyle Larson's car sped around the track with ferocity throughout Saturday afternoon. However, his seventh-place qualifying effort was marred a bit when some non-sanctioned repairs had to be made on the No. 5 car. Steering issues were cited as the culprit for the Hendrick Motorsports driver. Larson has performed exceedingly well at Phoenix with the top average result over the past six races at 4.40. That includes a win at the season finale last year. There were also five top-tens as Larson's overall speed on this track is evident. Now, the only concern Sunday will be can he control the car over 312 laps.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
