Kyle Larson Tries Bold Move, Comes Up Short at Darlington
3 years agoKyle Larson tried everything during the final two restarts at Darlington. In the end, he may have had the fastest car on the track. However, he could not get around the No. 11 of Denny Hamlin on Sunday night. The result was a second-place finish just 0.212 seconds behind. He did win a stage and led the most laps at 157. However, all that was not enough when it counted most. The Hendricks Motorsports Racing driver knew he was up against it but tried for the win and automatic round-of-12 spot anyway. It was risky but considering Larson was several MPH faster than Hamlin, the move was worth a shot.
