3 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Kyle Lewis didn't manage a hit Thursday night against Zach Plesac and the Indians, but he did manage to get on base three times via the walk, and now has a 10.1 percent walk rate for the year. Lewis produced a 14 percent walk rate in 2020, good for the 87th percentile in the majors. If he can keep his walk rate up, and his strikeout rate down, Lewis will continue to be a very solid play. So far this year, Lewis is striking out just 22.8 percent of the time, compared to 29.3 percent in 2020, and 38.7 percent in limited 2019 action. That's a steady track record of improvement that could keep Lewis from being a drag for fantasy managers in the batting average and/or on-base categories.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
