Kyle Philips A High-Floor PPR Flex Option
2 years agoTennessee Titans wide receiver Kyle Philips led all rookies in Week 1 with nine targets and looks to be Ryan Tannehill's safety blanket early on in the season. Philips put up 66 yards on six catches and outperformed his expectations mightily. His ceiling is likely limited due to a lack of explosiveness and deep-threat prowess, but players like Julian Edelman, Cole Beasley, and Jamison Crowder have been nice deep-league flex players thanks to a ton of receptions. It's too early in Philip's career to project this kind of usage to continue, but that could be the track he's on. In a game against the Buffalo Bills, the Titans will likely have to pass more than they want to, so all Titans' pass-catchers have a wide range of outcomes.
