Kyle Pitts Thinks He'll Play Sunday
3 years agoAtlanta Falcons rookie tight end Kyle Pitts (hamstring) said he thinks he will play on Sunday in the Week 18 regular season finale against the New Orleans Saints. Pitts needs 50 yards to set the NFL's record for receiving yards as a rookie. After missing practice on Wednesday, Pitts was back on the field for the portion of practice open to the media on Thursday. The first-rounder has only one touchdown on the year and hasn't been excellent fantasy wise in his first NFL season, but he's been consistent as one of Atlanta's trusted pass-catchers with Calvin Ridley missing most of the year due to personal issues. As long as Pitts doesn't have any setbacks, it's looking like he'll play on Sunday, where he'll be a high-end TE2/low-end TE1. He is averaging 4.1 receptions and 63.6 receiving yards in 16 games.
