Kyle Rudolph Ineffective In Preseason Debut With Bucs
2 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Kyle Rudolph caught one of three targets for three yards in Saturday's 13-3 preseason loss to the Tennessee Titans. With Cameron Brate inactive, Rudolph started ahead of rookie Cade Otton and played every snap with the first team. The 32-year-old is competing with Brate and Otton to be quarterback Tom Brady's top pass-catching tight end. He inked a one-year deal with Tampa Bay in mid-July to help replace Rob Gronkowski (retired) and O.J. Howard (signed with Buffalo). Rudolph gives Brady a big red zone target and is worth a flyer in later rounds if he's able to secure the top spot on the Buccaneers' tight end depth chart.
