3 years agoWashington Nationals outfielder Kyle Schwarber (hamstring) may be facing "more than a 10-day injured list situation," the Washington Post reported, citing manager Dave Martinez. An MRI showed that Schwarber has a significant strain in his right hamstring. Gerardo Parra will play left field Saturday night, and Washington is "otherwise evaluating its options." The 28-year-old Schwarber, who exited Friday's game, has been on a power-hitting roll, so a potential trip to the IL can't come at a worse time for the Nationals and his fantasy managers. His owners will need to hang onto him, but prepare for an extended absence. Parra could see an uptick in playing time if Schwarber can't make it back anytime soon.--Josh Friedman
