Kyle Schwarber Could Start Rehab Stint On Thursday
3 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Kyle Schwarber (hamstring, groin) could start a rehab assignment with Triple-A Worcester on Thursday, manager Alex Cora told the press on Wednesday. Schwarber was originally sidelined in early July with a right hamstring strain then experienced a setback due to tightness in his left groin. The 28-year-old is slashing .253/.340/.570 with 25 home runs and 53 RBI over 72 games, so Boston no doubt wants his bat back in the lineup. Fantasy managers should continue stashing Schwarber until he returns healthy.
