Kyle Schwarber Not Starting On Wednesday
3 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Kyle Schwarber isn't starting on Wednesday against the New York Yankees and left-hander Andrew Heaney. The veteran is batting .257 with a .347 on-base percentage, 25 home runs, and a stolen base in 317 plate appearances this season. He's started exclusively at designated hitter for Boston but is getting the day off on Wednesday with Kevin Plawecki replacing him in the lineup. Plawecki is batting sixth against Heaney and could be worth a look as a streaming option for managers in deeper leagues. In 55 plate appearances against left-handed pitchers this year the 30-year-old is batting .327 with a .400 on-base percentage and a home run.
