3 years agoWashington Nationals outfielder Kyle Schwarber (hamstring) is healing quickly from his severe hamstring strain and could return to the team within a couple weeks, according to Maria Torres of The Athletic. Schwarber suffered the injury at the beginning of July, and it was reported he was likely going to miss "significant" time due to it. However, Torres reports that Schwarber took batting practice on Tuesday, and Jesse Dougherty of the Washington Post reports that Schwarber was seen doing agility drills in the outfield on Wednesday. This is all positive news for Schwarber, who had been putting up unreal numbers at the plate prior to the injury, slashing .339/.422/1.000 with 12 home runs, 19 RBI and 17 runs scored over his last 15 games. Managers will hope that the injury and time off have not cost Schwarber his swing,--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
