Kyle Schwarber Remains Sidelined On Saturday
2 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Kyle Schwarber (calf) is absent from Saturday's starting lineup against the New York Mets. Matt Vierling will fill his void, batting ninth and playing left field. Schwarber, 29, hasn't played since Thursday against Miami. He is slashing .211/.314/.501 with 34 homers, 69 RBI, 59 walks, and 144 strikeouts this season. Despite his low average and high strikeout rate, Schwarber has made a strong fantasy impact with his impressive power. He should continue to be rostered in all leagues, and fantasy managers should check on his injury status Sunday morning.
