Kyle Seager Lacking Production Against Right-Handers
7 years agoSeattle Mariners third baseman Kyle Seager has been solid this season, hitting .290 with runners in scoring position this season with 16 runs driven in. Seager is a traditional slow starter, as evidenced by his .403 slugging percentage heading into Tuesday night's action. Seager usually begins to turn it on during the month of May but will need to improve against right-handers in order to pump up his production. The left-handed hitting veteran is hitting a very pedestrian .224 against right-handers through 85 at-bats. Seager is a lifetime .270 hitter against right-handers, so an uptick in production appears to be on the way. He will get first crack to improve those numbers Tuesday night against right-hander Marcus Stroman, a pitcher Seager is 2-for-5 (.400) against in his career.
