3 years agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Kyle Wright had another solid outing on Thursday as his club defeated the Cubs 5-1. The right-hander allowed one run over seven frames, striking out eight and walking four as he improved his record to 3-0 on the campaign. The lone run scored on a pickoff play in the second inning where Nico Hoerner was able to stay in a rundown long enough for the runner from third base to reach home. Wright now sits with a 1.13 ERA, 0.83 WHIP, and a 34/6 K/BB through 24 IP this season as he looks to keep his excellent start going with a road date versus the Mets next week.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
