Kyle Wright Lined Up To Start Friday
2 years agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Kyle Wright (arm) is lined up to make his return on Friday to open the weekend series against the Houston Astros. Left-hander Max Fried (concussion) is returning from the seven-day injured list to pitch in the series finale against the division-rival New York Mets. Wright dealt with right arm fatigue in his last outing against the Boston Red Sox on Aug. 10, so the Braves gave him some extra rest. The 26-year-old right-hander has been strong this year with a 3.14 ERA (3.67 FIP), a 1.17 WHIP and a 129:39 K:BB in 134 2/3 frames over 22 starts, but he'll be a bit more risky in his return from arm fatigue against the first-place Astros on Friday.
