4 years agoAtlanta Braves right-handed pitcher Kyle Wright had been set to make his fifth start of the season Wednesday against the Nationals, but it was ultimately postponed due to inclement weather. With an off-day Thursday, Atlanta does not have to alter its rotation plans for the weekend series against Philadelphia, with Max Fried, Robbie Erlin, and Josh Tomlin all set to make their projected starts. Wright, the club’s No. 4 prospect per MLB Pipeline, has scuffled mightily this year, walking 16 batters and allowing 12 runs in his first 15 innings. Despite owning a 7.52 ERA over his first 15 big league appearances, Wright likely has an extended leash due to Mike Soroka’s season-ending Achilles injury. Check back for an update on when Wright will make his next start.--Jesse Borek
