3 years agoKansas City Royals relief pitcher Kyle Zimmer (neck) has been activated from the 10-day injured list, the team announced on Monday. Zimmer was placed on the IL earlier this month with neck spasms. Injuries have hampered the 29-year-old right-hander's season and he will surely be looking to rebound from a ghastly July that left him with a 4.83 ERA. In a coordinating move, the Royals placed left-handed pitcher Jake Brentz on the injured list retroactive to August 21 with left shoulder impingement syndrome.--Chelena Goldman
