Kylen Granson Draws Four Targets in Preseason Finale
3 years agoIndianapolis Colts tight end Kylen Granson was the most targeted Colts tight end during Friday's 27-17 win over the Detroit Lions during the preseason finale. Granson was drafted in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft out of SMU and will definitely be mixed into the rotation with starters Mo Alie-Cox and Jack Doyle. Head coach Frank Reich likes to run pre-snap motion and 13 personnel, meaning Granson could be utilized as an H-back, blocker, or receiver depending on the formation and play call. He's not the biggest tight end, but his sure hands and fluid route-running make him an interesting stash in dynasty leagues, as he pulled in three of four targets for 23 receiving yards against the Lions on Friday. The other Colts' backup tight ends only drew one target apiece on Friday, meaning Granson is almost certainly going to be involved with the first team throughout 2021.
