3 years agoAfter the first round of action on Saturday, it looked to be another day at the office for the 14th-ranked Kyler Phillips. However, it was not meant to be, as Raulian Paiva fought back the rest of the contest to snatch the win away from Phillips, taking a majority decision. Statistically, Phillips actually out-struck Paiva, landing 74 significant strikes (95 total strikes) and securing four of his nine takedown attempts on the night. This is Phillips' first loss in the UFC, so we will see where he goes from here after likely falling out of the rankings.--Matt Bricker - RotoBaller
