Kyren Williams Could Miss Up To Six Weeks
2 years agoLos Angeles Rams promising rookie running back Kyren Williams (ankle) suffered a high ankle sprain early in the first quarter of the 31-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Thursday night and could be sidelined up to six weeks, according to a source. It's a tough blow to the Rams' running back depth and for the fifth-rounder to begin his NFL career. Fantasy managers in dynasty/keeper leagues shouldn't expect Williams to return until sometime after the team's Week 7 bye. Darrell Henderson Jr. led the Rams backfield in rushing on Thursday, with Cam Akers being basically invisible (three carries for zero yards). With Williams now out for the foreseeable future, Jake Funk will step into the No. 3 role for a Week 2 matchup with the Atlanta Falcons.
