La'el Collins Has Status For Opener In Question
3 years agoDallas Cowboys right tackle La'el Collins was held out of practice Friday due to neck stingers, throwing his availability for Thursday's season opener against the Buccaneers into doubt. Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said that the team was in "a holding pattern" as it pertained to the offensive lineman, who missed all of last year due to injury. Terence Steele and Ty Nsekhe could be thrust into starting duties if Collins is unable to take the field, which could have a slight impact on the output of both quarterback Dak Prescott (who is dealing with minor ailments of his own) and running back Ezekiel Elliott. Stay tuned for the final word on Collins as the opener gets closer.
