3 years agoThe Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec is hearing less optimism about the Baltimore Ravens and quarterback Lamar Jackson reaching a contract extension this offseason, but it's coming from outsiders and people not directly involved with the negotiations. Jackson has no agent and a tight inner circle, while the Ravens play things close to the vest, so there isn't much information out there about the situation. General manager Eric DeCosta didn't show any urgency to get a deal with Jackson done during his news conference last week after previously treating a Jackson extension as a formality. The Ravens would clearly like to reach a deal with Jackson this offseason, but it no longer feels like a given. Despite a tough year for Jackson that included an ankle injury that sidelined him late in the season, he should be viewed as a high-end QB1 heading into 2022 fantasy drafts.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
