Lance Lynn Aiming To Steady The Sinking Texas Ship

4 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Lance Lynn looks to get his team out of an eight-game losing streak against the Oakland Athletics on Monday. The right-hander has been one of the best pitchers in the majors this season and has become a real ace for the Texas staff. He has already faced the A's once in 2020, where he threw 6 1/3 innings with one earned run given up, three walks allowed, and seven strikeouts. The A's strikeout seventh-most in the league versus right-handed pitchers and Lynn could reach double digits if he goes deep enough into the game. That scenario is highly likely because the former-Cardinals pitcher has gone 30-straight starts with throwing at least 100 pitches.
