5 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Lance Lynn threw more offspeed pitches in his four-inning outing versus the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday, and the results were mixed. Lynn gave up seven hits and four runs, but also struck out four Rockies and did not walk a batter. Lynn threw his fastball on over 70 percent of his pitches last year, where he was tied for the team lead with 208 1/3 innings and led the team with 246 strikeouts. The former All-Star has talked about how he needs to have a better pitch mix if he is to repeat his successful 2019, and it looks as though he is putting in the practice this spring.--Euan Leith
