Lance Lynn Reinstated For His Start Wednesday
2 years agoThe Chicago White Sox reinstated right-hander Lance Lynn from the bereavement list on Wednesday for his scheduled start against the Kansas City Royals. Left-hander Tanner Banks was optioned to Triple-A Charlotte in a corresponding move. Lynn was away from the team for four days, but he'll return to the starting rotation on Wednesday. The 35-year-old overall numbers don't look great, but he's been much better in the second half of the season, going 2-2 with a 2.83 ERA (3.75 FIP) with a .210 batting average against and 48 strikeouts in 41 1/3 innings over seven starts. Lynn is 3-5 on the season with a 5.00 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 83 K's in 77 1/3 innings over 14 starts. He's a good play against the rebuilding Royals.
