Lance McCullers Jr. Throws From 60 Feet Tuesday
3 years agoHouston Astros pitcher Lance McCullers Jr. (forearm) threw 25 times on flat ground from 60 feet Tuesday and is scheduled to pitch Friday again. The 28-year-old suffered a flexor tendon injury in his right arm in the postseason last year. He didn't need surgery and was placed on the 10-day injured list to begin the season. The Astros right-hander continues to make a recovery from his injury and will need to build up strength before facing live hitters. McCullers owned a career-low 3.16 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, 185 strikeouts, and a league-high 76 walks in 162 1/3 innings over 28 starts in 2021. Fantasy managers should continue to stash the right-hander in all league formats.
