4 years agoHouston Astros starter Lance McCullers Jr. (shoulder) is scheduled to pitch a simulated game this weekend. McCullers has been on the shelf since May 22 after a strong start to his season. The 27-year-old is 3-1 through nine starts this season with a 1.16 WHIP, a 2.96 ERA and a 10.28 K/9 rate. But injuries continue to hold the talented pitcher back. The Astros were hoping for McCullers to return by mid-June but that could be a little unrealistic. Expect a few starts in the minors before returning to the team if the simulated session goes well this weekend.--Joey C - RotoBaller
