4 years agoHouston Astros starting pitcher Lance McCullers Jr. (illness) will miss Tuesday's scheduled start versus the Colorado Rockies. McCullers dealt with side effects of a Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 vaccine shot during his last start on Wednesday and skipping Tuesday's start will give him more time recover. McCullers looked great in his first two starts, but pitched under the weather in his last start and struggled versus the Detroit Tigers. The right-hander owns a 5.27 ERA on the season, but six of his eight runs on the season came in his start against the Tigers and managers shouldn't be worried about his long-term outlook. Starting pitcher Luis Garcia will get the start on Tuesday and can be avoided with a matchup at Coors Field.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
