Lance McCullers Jr. Received An Extension Offer From Houston
4 years agoHouston Astros starting pitcher Lance McCullers Jr. has received an extension offer from the team, according to Jon Heyman of MLB Network. However, Heyman added that it's "uncertain" that something gets done. McCullers Jr. is set to become a free agent next offseason and may want to test the market. He got off a to a slow start in 2020 as he was coming off Tommy John surgery but he was able to rebound and finish strong. He ended the year with a 3-3 record, 3.93 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, and 55:20 K/BB ratio over 55 innings pitched. The 27-year-old righty has looked solid so far this spring and feels fairly priced at his current 123 ADP.
