Leonard Fournette Remains Starter After No Trade Happens
5 years agoWhile the Jacksonville Jaguars reportedly tried to trade running back Leonard Fournette during the NFL Draft, no deal materialized, and general manager Dave Caldwell says that Fournette remains the starter. Caldwell also said that the reason the team didn't draft any running back was that no one was available that they thought could beat out backups Ryquell Armstead and Devine Ozigbo for snaps. Those two pieces coupled together seem to suggest that it's at least possible that Fournette is on the Jaguars roster for the 2020 season. If so, he'll remain a low-end fantasy RB1, though he could regress some as a receiver and we could see more of Armstead sprinkled in.
