Leonard Fournette's Usage To Be Down This Year?
2 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette only hit 80 percent of the team's offensive snaps last year once in the first 10 games. Then he did it in three straight games before suffering a hamstring injury. The Athletic's Greg Auman thinks the Bucs much prefer Fournette to be in the 60-70 percent range while utilizing their depth to help. Lenny was reamed for looking to be out of shape during offseason workouts, but he looked noticeably slimmer by the time training camp began. Rookie Rachaad White will be involved as a change-of-pace option, and the team still has pass-catching back Giovani Bernard in the fold. Fournette remains Tampa's lead back, but a slight reduction in workload this year could make him more of a high-end RB2 than an RB1 in fantasy.
