7 years agoCleveland Indians outfielder Leonys Martin (illness) was placed on the 10-day disabled list on Thursday with a non-baseball condition. He did not play due to a stomach illness on Wednesday. He was hitting .333 with two home runs and four RBI in six games since being acquired from the Tigers at the trade deadline. Outfielder Greg Allen was called up from Triple-A Columbus in a corresponding move. Martin's fantasy value went up with the move to a much better Cleveland lineup, but it's unknown when he might be able to return. Allen should see a good amount of playing time with Martin out. Allen was hitting just .224 with a homer and five RBI, but he also had six steals and can be useful in AL-only formats.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
