6 years agoDetroit Tigers outfielder Leonys Martin (hamstring) ran 90-foot sprints on Wednesday, indicating that he's feeling good as his stint on the 10-day disabled list comes to a close. Martin said he wants to return on Friday, but manager Ron Gardenhire says that it will be sometime during the upcoming Seattle series, possibly Saturday or Sunday. Martin has been replaced by JaCoby Jones as the leadoff hitter for now, but Martin will likely slot back in there upon his return. Martin is batting .294 with five homers on the season.--Tyler Germain - RotoBaller
