LeSean McCoy Among Bills Players To Exit Game Early
6 years agoBuffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy (ribs) was one of a few players unable to finish the game due to injury. McCoy suffered the injury when he took two shots to the midsection, one of them by a Los Angeles Chargers defender and the other was by teammate Ryan Groy when he fell on McCoy while he was on the ground. The good news is that McCoy left under his own power and returned to the game. However, the Bills eventually took him out of the game for good. While McCoy didn't put up outstanding numbers, he did run well when he had the opportunity, breaking one carry for 27 yards. The 30-year-old veteran finished the day with 68 yards from scrimmage as he garnered 39 yards on the ground, plus another 29 yards on four receptions. Reserve running back Taiwan Jones (head) and starting corner Phillip Gaines (arm) also were also unable to finish the game. McCoy's status for Week 3 is uncertain. If he is unable to go, veteran Chris Ivory along with Marcus Murphy would be charged with handling the workload.
