3 years agoChicago White Sox infielder/outfielder Leury Garcia is sidelined on Friday with a bruised right knee. Garcia suffered the injury when he slid into home in Wednesday's contest. Garcia has been playing all over the diamond for the White Sox and has been swinging a hot bat of late. Over the last two weeks, Garcia is hitting .324 with eight runs and seven RBI. Garcia doesn't do much to warrant being picked up in most formats and he can remain on the waiver wire at the moment. Garcia remains day-to-day and infielder Danny Mendick will replace him in Friday's and bat ninth. Mendick can be avoided versus Luis Garcia on Friday.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
