Le'Veon Bell Officially Misses Monday's Practice
6 years agoUpdating a previous report, Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell missed practice on Monday as his team ramps up to face the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. Bell missed all of the preseason to show his displeasure after the Steelers franchised tagged him for the second consecutive offseason instead of agreeing upon a long-term contract. General manager Kevin Colbert released a statement, saying, "We are disappointed Le'Veon Bell has not signed his franchise tender and rejoined his teammates." Bell will start missing paychecks if he isn't with the team by Week 1, meaning he is likely to report before Sunday. Second-year running back James Conner was the team's starting running back during the preseason and is a must-own handcuff in all leagues.
