Lewis Brinson Homers On Monday

3 years agoMiami Marlins outfielder Lewis Brinson hit a home run on Monday in a loss to the San Diego Padres on the road. Brinson went 2-for-4 with a homer and a single, driving in two runs and scoring twice. His single was an infield hit where he showed elite speed in beating out a throw to first. Brinson has been excellent since his most recent call up and is finally playing to the upside he's supposedly had this whole time. With the Marlins in full "evaluate for 2022" mode for the rest of the season, Brinson should get plenty of playing time and is worth a look in deeper mixed leagues at this point.
