3 years agoMiami Marlins outfielder Lewis Brinson is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's series-opener against the Cincinnati Reds. Brinson was absolutely on fire but has cooled down noticeably since Don Mattingly returned to the team and got back to his old tricks. While bench coach James Rowson was managing the team, Brinson hit fourth and played center field every game. Mattingly's constant tinkering, moving Brinson around the lineup and playing him in different outfield spots, has clearly taken its toll. It's a shame after it really looked like Brinson had finally reached the top prospect status that he'd so often missed.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
