Liam Hendriks Looking To Bring Intensity To Chicago
4 years agoChicago White Sox relief pitcher Liam Hendriks hasn't appeared in a Cactus League game yet, but his presence has been felt in camp thanks to his intense demeanor on the mound. The Aussie closer signed a $54 million contract to come to Chicago and help give the team a "killer instinct" after Chicago limped to the finish line last year and were eliminated by Hendriks' Oakland squad in the Wild Card round. Hendriks was the 2020 AL Reliever of the Year in converting 14 of 15 save chances with a 1.14 ERA and pristine peripheral metrics including a 1.90 SIERA and a 40.2 strikeout-rate. He'll be among the top relievers drafted in fantasy closing for a White Sox team that should provide plenty of save opportunities.
