4 years agoChicago White Sox closer Liam Hendriks pitched for the third day in a row and recorded his eighth save of the season in Game 2 of Friday's doubleheader versus the Kansas City Royals. Hendriks has been an ironman for manager Tony La Russa and allowed a single in an otherwise perfect inning. Hendriks has now thrown 3 2/3 innings in the last three days and will likely be unavailable on Saturday. The closer now sports a 2.76 ERA with 26 strikeouts and one walk on the season. He remains one of the top closers in the game.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
