4 years agoChicago White Sox closer Liam Hendriks suffered his first loss of the season on Wednesday versus the Cincinnati Reds. Hendriks entered the game in the bottom of the ninth and recorded one out, but then came extra innings. Hendriks was then brought back out for the bottom of the tenth inning. With a runner starting the inning on second base, Hendriks would allow a single to outfielder Nick Senzel and then fellow outfielder Jesse Winker came through with the game winning single. Hendriks didn't have the run charged to him, but did suffer the loss. Hendriks remains one of the safest and best options at the closer and now owns a 3.86 ERA with five saves in seven opportunities.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
