3 years agoChicago White Sox closer Liam Hendriks (back) said his back is feeling better, but it sounds like the team would rather not use him on Wednesday against the Kansas City Royals. Hendriks said it probably wasn't the best idea to pitch the 10th inning on Sunday, when he experienced back tightness. The 33-year-old is officially day-to-day with back spasms, but it sounds like the injury isn't serious enough to put him on the injured list. Hendriks wasn't 100 percent on Sunday when he allowed two earned runs on three hits in 1 1/3 innings against the Minnesota Twins. Fantasy managers will be hoping that Hendriks will be available for this weekend. In the meantime, Aaron Bummer or Kendall Graveman could be asked to close the game on Wednesday if a save situation arises.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
