2 years agoThe New England Patriots released wide receiver Lil'Jordan Humphrey on Tuesday, according to a source. However, he could re-sign to the team's practice squad. New England also cut Tre Nixon on Tuesday. The Patriots just have too much receiver depth this year after the addition of DeVante Parker. In addition to Parker, the Patriots have Jakobi Meyers, Nelson Agholor, Kendrick Bourne and Kristian Wilkerson at the position. In three NFL seasons (all with the New Orleans Saints), Humphrey has 16 receptions on 24 targets for 295 yards and three touchdowns in 18 games (six starts).--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
