5 years agoNew Orleans Saints rookie wide receiver Lil'jordan Humphrey caught a 33-yard touchdown from quarterback Taysom Hill in Friday's preseason loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Humphrey showed off his strength on the play, absorbing contact after the catch and making his way into the end zone. He finished with two catches for 42 yards. Humphrey is part of a pretty wide-open battle for a roster spot at wide receiver, and Friday's performance may have helped him pull ahead of at least a few guys in that battle. It's hard to see a path to re-draft relevance for Humphrey, but the Saints have a prolific offense, so he could surprise people if injuries or other factors lead to him seeing the field in the regular season.--Justin Carter - RotoBaller
