Lions Bringing Back Tim Boyle
3 years agoThe Detroit Lions are re-signing quarterback Tim Boyle to a one-year, $2 million deal that includes $1.75 million guaranteed on Monday, according to sources. Boyle can earn another $500,000 in incentives. The 27-year-old started three games for the Lions last year when Jared Goff was unavailable, and he threw three touchdowns and six interceptions in five total appearances in 2021. He will return in 2022 as Goff's backup, but he won't carry much fantasy appeal if he gets another shot at the starting gig. In 16 career games over three NFL seasons, Boyle has thrown for 541 yards on 98 attempts with three touchdowns and six interceptions.
