Lions Could Make A Run At Dion Lewis
7 years agoThe Detroit Lions could make a run at New England Patriots impending free-agent running back Dion Lewis. Lewis is set to be a free agent and may be asking for more than the Patriots typically give their running backs. New Detroit head coach Matt Patricia is obviously familiar with Lewis, so he could enter the mix as the Lions look to improve their running game. The addition of Lewis in Detroit would surely be bad news for Ameer Abdullah and Theo Riddick. The 27-year-old Lewis had a career-high 180 carries for 896 yards (5.0 yards per carry) and six touchdowns in a breakout year with the Pats in 2017. He also caught 32 passes for 214 yards and three touchdowns.
